My Christmas trees never follow a theme.  They are always a reflection of my family; where we’ve been, what we’re like.

The ornaments don’t match, but if you look closely they do tell a story.

Even if they are just quirky.

Or pretty.

Snowman cupcake? That’s both really cool and really sad at the same time!

@Dave2, Why is he sad? Although if the snowman baker pictured above him was the baker of the snowman cupcake, I can see how that makes it sort of macabre and maybe I should re-think my tree. Hmmm….

Those photos are absolutely beautiful and remind me of the best times of my childhood Christmases. Thank you for that.

I had no idea until I was an adult that anyone ever had trees with matching or themed ornaments.

@Poppy, My mom had a friend who had a different theme for her tree every year. One year apples, one year all blue ribbons and blue lights, etc. It seemed incredibly wasteful and impersonal to me because she never had the same tree twice. I love that some of our ornaments have been in the family for 3 generations, a couple even came over from Germany when my Great Grandparents immigrated. I’m glad you liked it!
