Once in a while I am able to do what I do for people I love.

My friends are pretty awesome, so it makes me happy when I can do something for them.

See, my friends are going to be parents.

Today we had a party to celebrate the pending arrival of their new bundles of joy.

That’s right. I said bundles. With an “s.”

If I had heard the news that I was having twins I would have fallen off the exam table.

Not my friends. It’s not often in my life I am witness to something as beautiful as their overwhelming joy.

Asher and Cooper, we can’t wait to meet you!

You are going to have the most fantastic parents!
This cake was patterned after the crib set the Mom and Dad picked out. You can see that here.

You are so freaking amazing, lady.

The cake was simply amazing & tasted just as good as it looked!! Thank you so much – I know it was difficult to find the time with your trip and it gave me one less food item to worry about. You totally rocked it! And you’re right, I would have fallen off the exam table too if I had been told I was having twins. Their joy and relative calm is awesome to witness.

@Jessica, I’m glad it worked out! I kept telling JB, “it’s not over ’til I show up with a Costco cake!”

@Dave2, Somehow I don’t think it would survive the trip. But our birthdays are really close together so I’ll make one for me and say it’s for both of us. Will that work? It’d be like we’re twins!

Lisa, your work is amazing and I hope you know we really appreciated it. So many people wanted pictures of the cake magic sent their way, and I wish you could have overheard all of the compliments. The twins will definitely see pictures and hear stories of the cake at their first event.
The top tier is safely tucked away, and our sugary animal friends are getting ready to go on a shelf I’m putting up in the nursery.
Much luv.

@crispy king, I was glad to do it! I’m happy that you both liked it! That’s what matters most to me. (sorry it took so long to get back to you – you were in the spam folder. again. *insert eyeroll here!*)
