@Lisa, Vicodin makes me barfy, so I plan on requesting the good stuff.

I've heard Six Feet Under is good, but have never watched it. I'll add it to the list!

Top Ramen with tuna and eggs? Oh my damn. I'd stockpile snacks, definitely. And Vicodin. Possibly some vodka. And I'd watch Six Feet Under start to finish.

@crispy king, Wow, you're like an expert at this! I am in awe. You gave me a great idea for one of my favorite childhood pastimes - coloring books! I am so getting a box of crayons and an awesome coloring book for the couchathon!

I LOVE Fight Club! No one messes with Tyler Durden.

TJ's is a great idea. They have so many ready-made dinnery things that the man could handle din-din on his own for a few days and it wouldn't involve Top Ramen. Because seriously, no.

And I'm putting stickers all over my crutches. I'm not even kidding.

Okay, sounds like you're looking for things that may enhance your high, so here's a list.
Activities:
1.) We have super mario galaxy for the Wii. This will get your brain sufficiently off-kilter for --
2.) Fear and Loathing in Las Vegas the book, not the film. As your attorney I recommend you read it while verifiably altered. We have a copy.
3.) Fight Club ze movie. Homemade soap, the Pixies, and Bob's bitch tits? Yes.
4.) A children's activity book. Preferably with stickers. Oh, you laugh now, but when you're drooling and having trouble determining how exactly your hands are connected to your body a rainy-day activity book will make it all better.

Foods:
1.) Trader Joe's has the decadent convenience foods. Tasty Bites indian food (careful SPICY). Frozen black bean and cheese taquitos, rich, chocolatey bavarian pudding. Oh, and precooked rice!
2.) Crazy international supermarket treats: the place on 5th and Keystone has strawberry Pocky, stellar Mochi, perfect bbq pork sticky buns just ready for steaming, and every flavor of tea you may enjoy. Yes tea. You have to hydrate between medication binges or your kidneys are gonna feel the pain.
3.) Dipping implements and dip. We're talking prechopped veggies and salad dressing dips. Pita bits and hummus. Pretzels and peanut butter. These are one-handed foods when you are too pissed to operate two hands reliably.

Bonus Round:
1.) A remote-controlled thing. A kickass red car. An indoor-safe helicopter. A growling monster truck. You will be couchbound but you can exert your princessy powers over machinery and create a racecourse in your living room. This will devolve into a destruction derby when the meds kick in. Do not worry. Mad Max playtime heals all wounds.
2.) Spirograph. You may be too polluted and tired to produce human speech but you will be able to make pretty swirly things that you can take pictures of with your iPhone and post to your blog. Wheeeeeeeeeeeee.
3.) Some kind of modeling clay. Sculpey. Play-doh, whatever. You will become angry at being couchbound. You will want to SMASH! Have a smashable thing at hand, make voodoo figures of the things that are bugging you and crush the hell out of them. Then sleep it off like Bruce Banner in purple shorts!

This training regimen will get you prepared for the advanced course when you do your right foot.

Hey there!
I have a bunch of different series in my library. You are more than welcome to come and pick out whatever you like. I have all of the Sookie Stackhouse novels in paperback (except the most recent one) and they would get you through a week of couch time. When you get bored of reading them, you can watch TrueBlood and do a compare and contract essay in your narc'd up brain...which will be awesome! I also have some Harry Dresden stuff, and just finished watching the complete "My So-Called Life" series, which was hysterically funny. I forgot how much being a teenager sucked balls!

I agree about the Twilight series- super easy read, but pretty lengthy.
Or if you want hard core fluff- have you considered the Shopaholic books? There's 4 or 5 of them, and NO thought is required.
And yes, I would rent a TV series- that will really take up a lot of time and can be quite engaging.
xoxo
