Blonde Ambitions

I have a hair appointment tonight for a taming of the blonde that has taken over my hair. This is a photo of what it looks like this very minute and I kind of like it, a lot actually. It is a little yellow though and I’m afraid I’m channelling Stevie Nicks way too much. Any votes from you guys?

Here’s the thing. If you can’t tell from the stunningly mismatched eyebrows, I’m about as brunette as they come. It drives my Mom insane that I’m rocking the blonde. In fact, she went so far as to tell my bff that she thought I was too blonde and should be told to knock it off. (seriously? Who stages hair interventions?) Since I’m personna non grata with my Mom anyway, it kind of makes me all happy on the inside to do that which makes her twitchy! Not very mature, sure, but she started it! Neener neener and all that.

I’m leaning toward adding back a little dark with lowlights and lightening up the highlights so they are less strawlike, but mostly staying with light hair overall. For most of my life I was afraid to color my hair so I’ve got some catching up to do!
