Approximately 100 years ago there was this thing going around the blogosphere  called 100 Things About Me, or something like that.  I started mine maybe 99 years ago and never finished, but since I have a lot of the dumbass in my gene pool I didn’t save them and now I have to start from scratch.  Because I’m incredibly narcissistic I’m completely convinced that you want to know all there is to know about me, in one hundred bullet points or less.  So without further ado I give you the next 10.

11. I have an ongoing love affair with Diet Coke. I’ve tried to quit but can’t ever stick with it.   Sooner or later I’ll have just a sip and it will be all downhill from there.  Diet Coke, why can’t I quit you?

12.  I am left-handed, except when I’m not.  I write with my left hand, but do just about everything else with my right.  So what does that make me?  Confused?  Almost-ambidextrous?  I throw a ball, play golf and tennis, and shoot right handed.  I put my makeup on with both hands, switching hands when I switch sides.   I use a knife right handed, but I do the girlie hair flip with my left hand.  I can, however, flip the bird with both hands at the same time.  How’s that for talent!

13.  Growing up we didn’t have many pets.  I had guppies and a rabbit.  My sister had a guniea pig and more rabbits.  Later I got a lab puppy, but that was after I was 18 so it doesn’t count.  Apparently I’m making up for lost time now.  We currently have 20 animals that live here with our permission.  There are more who are shameless freeloading squatters, like the bunnies and squirrels who eat all the chicken food, the neighborhood cats hunting in our yard, and approximately 10,000 quail.

14. I am prone to exaggeration.  Only slightly.

15. For most of my life I hated avocados with the passion of a thousand suns.  Now I cannot get enough guacamole!  They say your tastes change every seven years, but I don’t imagine they can ever change enough to encompass mushrooms or brussels sprouts.

16. I read cookbooks like novels.  I love to read all the little notes authors put in there.  Nigella Lawson is one of my favorite cookbook reads because she’s so passionate about good food.  It doesn’t matter if she’s making fried poop on toast, she makes it sound like an orgasm on a plate.

17.  In middle school I played the flute in band.  I was decently good, not first chair, but not last either.  Mom thought that since I didn’t practice a lot at home I wasn’t interested enough and she sold my flute.  I can’t remember if I was bummed out about not taking band anymore, so I guess I really wasn’t interested enough.

18. I think I starved to death in a former life because I have definite problems with food now.

19.  It bugs me when people put the emphasis on the wrong word when reading aloud.  I used to have this boyfriend who thought he was an excellent public speaker.  I always cringed because when he would make his speaches he always put misemphasized.

20.  I don’t like to see other people embarassed.  It makes me very uncomfortable and I will leave a room if someone is purposely embarassing someone.  I also won’t watch movies that use humilation as humor.
